Golden Spinnaker Gala 2026

The 2026 Golden Spinnaker Gala offers a rare, front-row seat to the Olympic journey unfolding not overseas, but right here in the United States. This is the night future Olympians step out of their boats and into the room, sharing their stories, ambition and drive with those helping shape the road to Los Angeles 2028. An electric cocktail hour, intimate athlete meet-and-greets, exclusive storytelling, live moments and a celebration that carries late into the night all show this is far more than a gala. It’s access you won’t find again…and the chance to say you were there before the world was watching.

In 2023, the Golden Spinnaker Gala raised $850,000 in support of American sailors on their path to the Olympic Games. On Thursday, June 11, we aim even higher. These athletes put forth years of blood, sweat and tears in hopes of ultimately being selected in mid-2027 to represent our country. Unlike many nations, sailors in the U.S. are not fully funded, making private support essential. Proceeds from the evening go to support athletes seeking to compete in the 2028 Games, and those ultimately selected to Team USA in the 2028 Games. Funds directly cover expenses such as training, competition and travel – never overhead.

Funds from the Golden Spinnaker are allocated exclusively by the SFNY in strict accordance with SFNY policies.  All funds go to support athletes seeking to compete in the 2028 Games or ultimately competing in the 2028 Games. It is important to note that athletes will not be selected until mid/late 2027. 14 sailor athletes – regardless of their affiliation or how they were selected to join Team USA – will compete in Long Beach and represent our country. The SFNY stands ready to support this team in a fair and equitable manner, as we have done for 26 years.
